The human stumbles in the morning light as it wakes from its large cocoon of sheets and warmth. I follow along as the tall creature begins its morning routine and covering itself with the strange cuts of cloth.
It first puts on a preliminary covering in specific areas before draping further with larger pieces. The human’s body is much more fragile than mine so it must do this to brave the outside world. My own body is covered in fur that protects me from the heat and cold but the humans lack this trait aside from small tufts atop their heads. It is most peculiar.
The human soon searches for its paw coverings. Being around humans for my entire life I have learned they have different types of paws; grabbing paws and walking paws. Their walking paws however are very different from mine and are not suited for bare contact on the earth. As such the human must locate its special paw coverings each morning. The humans have a tendency to loose such coverings however, so I do my best to locate and retrieve them for my human to save time. I am often praised for this so I continue it. Once I do so I must then get the hard paw coverings if we are to face the elements, or its indoor hard paw coverings if my human so desires.
This particular morning I notice my human leaving parts of its body exposed near its upper paws. The elements must be becoming more suitable for the humans and less harmful to their fragile bodies.
Still I must stand by and protect my human. My body is more equipped to handle this world so I must stay and assist them.
