Wings of Rebellion Part 5

*After Sam and friends slay the imp horde, they find a place to eat in Chinatown before reporting back to HQ.*

Diego: This is taking forever. Isn’t Chinatown supposed to be filled with restaurants? *said with a tired tone*

Annie: Would it really kill you not think about your stomach for once in a while?

Diego: After killing a literal horde of demons, I think that’s out of the question.

Sam: Yeah, I’m pretty tired, too. You seriously do this every day?

Annie: Yes, and believe me, I’m just as exhausted as you are, but you’ll get used to it.

*As the party is looking for a restaurant, Sam hears some commotion in the distance*

Sam: Hey, did you guys hear that?

Peter: Hear what?

Sam: I could’ve sworn I heard something; I think it came from over there.

*Sam attempts to look for the source of the ruckus*

Peter: Don’t tell me you’re going alone!

Sam: You don’t want to check it out? C’mon let’s go.

Diego: Ok fine, but we better find a good place to eat on the way.

*As the party follows the noise of the commotion it gets louder and louder and really intense*

Diego: Hey Sam, I think we should just get out of here. I’m starting to freak out.

Sam: Really? You’re giving up now?

Annie: Diego’s right, whatever’s going on in that direction can’t be good.

Sam: Come on guys, what are you afraid of? It’s not like it’s serious or anything.

Peter: For all we know it could be. We need to go back. This clearly doesn’t concern us.

Sam: You know what? Forget this noise. I’m going by myself.

*Sam runs off to investigate alone*

Peter: SAM! Get back here! *said with anger in his voice* He’s quite stubborn, isn’t he?

Annie: You have no idea. But don’t worry, you’ll get used to it.

Peter: I doubt that.

*The party follows Sam to convince him to turn back. They later find him hiding under a window of a small ramen shop being terrorized by a mysterious gang.*
