He is a half-blood, a child who is half-mortal and half-god. What happens next? That is not for me to tell but for you to read.
Percy Jackson has ADHD and Dyslexia; he struggles with school and often finds himself in a spot of trouble. Percy can be hyperactive, and in different chapters, he can be read acting or speaking on impulse. However, there is a reason Percy Jackson was written to be neurodiverse. Rick Riordan was inspired by his son Haley Riordan who also had ADHD and Dyslexia. Haley had hated reading and reading but enjoyed Greek mythology. In an article from The Guardian, Percy Jackson: My Boy’s Own Adventure by Sally Williams, it is stated, “The character started as a bedtime story for Haley” When his father ran out of stories, Percy Jackson was created.
