Every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00-8:30 A.M, there is a free community fitness workout session in the Click Sports Center for Students and Staff! Beloved Landmark College Professor Todd Miller is running these sessions, and it is a great way to wake up early, feel the sunlight, touch the grass, and move! There are many benefits in not only working out, but in group workouts.
You can check the information I have on working out with Landmark College Counselors! The benefits of working out, according to Mayo Clinic is improved mood, improved sleep, improved energy, and more!
This was just from Mayo Clinic alone on the ways that working out can help you! According to Iowa State University, group exercise may be possibly better for your health than solo workouts! The points they made in this article is essentially that working out with friends can be motivating, having friends can make working out a consistent habit, and their can be a built connection by working out with other people.
These points make a convincing reason as to why you should workout whether it is with a group or solo-dolo. Now, I know as college students, 7:00-8:30 A.M is equivalent to 6:00-7:30 in our sleep cycles so now we will go over the benefits of waking up early, according to healthline. The reasons they provide are more time to get things done, better sleep rhythms, healthier skin, and can allow for more time to concentrate within the day!
All of these considerations are essential as to why it is important to wake up early to attend these community fitness sessions! If you want to explore the values of waking up early or of group work outs, remember Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00-8:30 in the Click Center is COMMUNITY FITNESS.
