WLMC News Booth
Interested in recording PSAs, Podcasts, or other radio pieces? The WLMC News Booth is available for members of the Landmark College Community to use in consultation with WLMC Station Management. If you want more information about using the News Booth, contact WLMC(A)landmark.edu. The guidelines for the space are listed below:
- Reservations:
- To reserve the news booth, you must have an Outlook calendar event and add wlmcnewsbooth(AT)landmark.edu (“WLMC News Booth”) as a resource/room/location for the event. When done correctly, you will receive a notification confirming your request, and the space is allocated to you for that time.
- WE CANNOT GUARANTEE YOU THE SPACE IF YOU DO NOT RESERVE IT!
- The WLMC Faculty Advisor, LC Voices Interns, WLMC Management, Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and the office of Marketing & Communications have priority use of the space.
- You may be asked to relocate should there be an immediate need to use the space.
- The news booth may not be booked for longer than 2 hours and for no less than 15 minutes
- (Exceptions can be made with Station Manager approval).
- Space:
- You are expected to treat the equipment with the same integrity and care as the main studio equipment. Any malfunctions can be reported to the station manager, no staff member should attempt to fix the issue themselves.
- The news booth is not intended nor should be used as a space to socialize, do non-radio-related work, or discuss/handle private matters.
- WLMC Staff members may use the space if it is not reserved for working on radio projects & coursework, and content production.
- Key:
- The key to the space must be left in the lockbox if the space is not actively being used.
- No staff member may remove the key from the building or take it off campus.
- Those who lose the key may be held financially responsible for the replacement of the key.
- The doors must always be locked, especially if the space is unoccupied.
