According to the Academic Speaker Series under Landmark College’s homepage, on November 6th, at 5:00P.M Dr. Michael Fricke will be coming to speak at Landmark College!
Dr. Fricke is a drug development chemist at Olon Riceria Bioscience based in Concord, Ohio. His research led to the first approved oral treatment of COVID-19, Molnupiravir.
His graduate and postdoctoral research was dedicated to researching arsenic which led to the discovery of DMTA (dimethylarsinic acid) which is arsenic commonly found in the environment used as herbicide or pesticide.
Dr. Fricke is a member for the ACS (American Chemical Society) chemists with disabilities in addition to also working as a Councilor in the Akron section which is the local section of Ohio that promotes science education, research, and public understanding of science.
