Do you feel stressed out from college work and need a break? Then you may enjoy a calm place to color. If this sounds appealing to you, then the center of neurodiversity (which is located in the Admin building 225) event is for you! It is from 3:00 to 4:30 and is held at the center of neurodiversity on Fridays!
The idea originally came about from the fact that many people can get burnt out from work during the week so they may appreciate a calm place to color and chill to decompose. It also provides a low sensory space to work.
During the event you are provided with many amenities including coloring books for children to adults, mandalas, and colored pencils and markers! Free hot drinks are also provided such as Tea, Coffee, and Hot Chocolate.
Though the coloring event is specifically on Fridays, people can come and use the coloring books anytime the center is open, which is Monday – Friday from 1-5 PM.
According to the Mayo Health System, cooling is good for your health because it can: A. Promote mindfulness B. Relieve Stress and C. Embracing imperfections.
If you need a mental rest from college work, make sure to stop by!
