James is currently studying for his bachelor’s degree with a major in Integrated arts and a minor in psychology. James has spent two years in CAB, starting off as treasurer, and then one year as major event coordinator. He is currently the president of the Campus Activities Board.
What are your goals for the year 2023-24?
CAB’s goals are to run fun campus-wide events using student input and feedback. Our overall goal is to make it fun and enjoy the college experience within school rules.
What is involved in making an activity successful?
Student feedback about what worked well and what did not — debriefs are necessary. QR codes. Keeping it in budget.
Why CAB?
I love doing something that matters by using my personality as a people person. CAB can be hard but at the end of the day, it’s all worth it seeing smiles on other students’ faces.
When are meetings held?
Meetings are held 5-6:30 p.m. on Thursdays in the Stone Hall Coffee House. All are welcome to come and provide input and suggest events.
Why is it important to give back to Landmark?
It is important to give back out of selflessness. I believe I am leaving a legacy larger than myself. I’ll miss it but I know I have made a lasting impact for future and current students.
